At last night’s annual Directors Supper, The Alderson House Players performed “Who Killed The Director”, a Murder Mystery featuring members of the various Lodges that meet at Alderson House and their partners.
Steven Price, the Alderson House chairman, explained that Alderson House had set up a fund to support local causes and charities and this year they were raising money for the 2nd Warwick Sea Scout Group which is a large Scout group based in St Nicholas Park, Warwick, established in 1959. They offer Scouting to children aged from 6 to 18 years old and are currently raising money to build a new scout hut. Their plans are also being supported by the Grand Master of the United Grand Lodge of England, His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent, together with our own Provincial Grand Master, David F Macey.
Steven said that money raised from this evening’s event, together with monies already raised, meant that the Alderson House appeal target had now been exceeded but the fund would continue until the end of July.
