Sugar and Vice: A Murder Mystery Dinner
Our Worshipful Master and members of the Lodge have been working hard to make our first social event of the year an evening you will not forget… even if you close your eyes tight and really, really try!
For one evening only, you will be transported back to 1888… oh no we won’t… and to the house of prosperous sweet manufacturer Mr Rolo Davenport (played by our very our Perky Perkins). The cook, Mrs Baggins, has been drowned in a vat of her own concoction, can Inspector Pratt (Rex Francis) solve the murder? What did the butler (Roger Green) see? Will wee Willie Mackintosh (Jon Thorne) get his girl? And there is something decidedly odd about Great Aunt Edna… and it’s not just her moustache!
Heavily influenced by The Lodge of Unity the cast also includes wives, friends and a brother from another (Lodge that is).
Tickets are just £10 and include a buffet meal. Please invite your friends and family.
All proceeds from the evening (the chef is providing his services and all food for free) will go towards the purchase of a screen for Warwick Hospital ICU, in memory of Liz Round. Screens cost £1,800 + VAT.

Ladies Night
Saturday 17th November
A gourmet evening meal prepared by award winning chef Nick Doughty at The Lord Leycester Hospital in Warwick. Nick’s food is quite simply stunning and presented with dramatic flair.
With the price kept low and an absolute maximum of 90 places available this promises to be a great Ladies festival. Oh yes and we have one or two other surprises during the evening including a silent disco - never been to one? They are great fun and ideal for our situation where we have a single hall and people who can't get away from the disco to talk.
The music is broadcast to headphones and the wearer can flip between two different channels - one 60's rock and roll and one 70's disco. What you end up with is people dancing together but to different rhythms and singing different songs. So one person/group may be dancing and singing along to "Hi ho silver lining..." while their partner is dancing and singing along to "…ah ah ah ah stayin' alive..." take the headphones off and all is quite… except the gently hubbub of friendly chat.

If Bertie, ably assisted by the ever-dependable Jeeves, can’t pull off the wedding of the season, he’ll be forced to abandon his cherished bachelor status and marry the ghastly girl himself!
Based on P.G. Wodehouse’s delightfully bonkers stories, especially The Code of the Woosters, and performed by a cast of three who play multiple roles, this smart and inventive production is guaranteed to have audiences of all ages roaring with laughter at this furiously fast and funny show.

Regular Lodge Night Event
2016
At our Past Masters supper in December 2015 our Master Elect, W.Bro Peter Manning, announced his proposed diary of events for 2016. These are to include a mass visit to the Morgan Lodge (Malvern), a night at the dogs, Sunday lunch, afternoon cream tea and a Childrens Christmas party in December- presumably so he can show off his rope trick to a new audience! and i'm guessing he will add a black tie ladies formal into the mix as well.

2014
Our main social event for 2014 was our annual Ladies night, which took place at The Warwick Arms Hotel in November and was well attended with all places being sold out and over £600 raised on the night for Breast Cancer. Elvis was in the building! and we rocked and danced our way into the wee small hours.
2013
This years Ladies festival was something completely different. It was all off to The Petwood Hotel (home of the 617 Dambusters) in Woodhall Spa and a 1940's weekend followed by a visit to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre with our Organist who actually flew as rear bomber in the Lancaster during WW2!

2015
In 2015 our Worshipful Master organised a number of events to keep us amused during his year, these included wine tasting, the inauguration 'Burford Cup' quiz in memory of our Senior Warden Dave Burford and our annual black tie ladies formal event at the amazing Coombe Abbey.
Of all the events organised for 2015 our Ladies formal at Coombe Abbey was the most spectacular with a bubbly reception, a four course banquet, live music, dancing, charity auction and a select range of raffle prizes including tickets to a West End show – and all for just £37.50 per person.
In addition our usual Christmas Carols meal, which followed our regular December Lodge meeting, was very well attended and featured the dulcet tones of W.Bro Perky with his rendition of Ernie the milkman - no typecasting there then!

The 2015 Burford Cup winners
2012
A more low key year featuring a Sunday lunch at Alderson House during the Summer and a glittering charity night in the Autumn raising money for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
2011
Our 2011 Ladies Festival was held on Saturday 12th November at the Welcombe Hotel, Stratford Upon Avon with over £1,000 being raised on the night to support The Warwick Hospital Special Baby Care Unit. This sum was added to the Worshipful Masters total for the year.
2010
Our 2010 Ladies Festival was held on 12th June at Ettington Chase Hotel, Stratford Upon Avon.
In March 2010, a number of lodge members, together with their wives and children, joined up at Leamington’s Mega Bowl for a light hearted bowling competition. Prizes were given for the best, worst and youngest performances.
