With a splendid meal of steamed beef and seasonal vegetables our Past Masters held their annual Past Masters Supper to discuss Lodge matters. High on the agenda was our Master Elects plans for 2017.
Bro. Sebastian Samperi, who will be invested in January 2017 as the 168th Master of the Lodge of Unity, unveiled his officers for the year and proposed a great mixture of ceremonies, gentleman’s evenings and social events to keep the Lodge busy throughout the year. His nominated charity will be Guy’s Gift, a Local charity which provides support for bereaved children, young people and their families in Warwickshire. The Lodge will also be supporting the 300th anniversary of The United Grand Lodge of England and plans a mass visit to next year’s Provincial Grand Lodge meeting to be held at Freemasons’ Hall, London next May when a number of our members will be receiving appointments and promotions.
Our most Senior Past Master, W. Bro Bob Griffiths, who will soon be celebrating his 96th birthday, congratulated our outgoing Worshipful Master, W. Bro. Peter Manning for the excellent work he carried out during his year in office and also the promotion he received during the year to Assistant Provincial Grand Master.
